External restoration of a Grade II listed boarding house built circa 1865, including replacement of roof, repairs to chimneys, replacement of above ground drainage systems, external brick and stonework repairs, replacement windows and upgrade of all local ventilation systems (bathrooms, WC’s & ensuites) using a combination of extract and passive ventilation systems and introducing heat recovery systems. The project included the bespoke design of projecting scaffolds (temporary works) to elevations and roof canopy requiring road closure and traffic management.
Responsible for planning, managing, monitoring and coordinating health and safety during the design and planning stage of the project, including review of Temporary Works design and access strategies. Providing Pre-Construction Information to Designers. Undertaking monthly site safety inspections throughout the construction phase, ensuring that high level of health and safety standards and arrangements were maintained.
